Tonight i met a good friend i haven´t had the chance to see or talk in many years.
She totally inspired me, our conversation had all this encouraging words i was praying to hear from a friend,
days of adaptation in Lima are not always so easy and light, i have days that i feel im doing things in the wrong way, or if im making any sense investing my time and strength in the things i do, things go slow and that makes me wonder if im on the right path...
I have very few close-friends who know what im going through and what is going inside my world. Im ok with that, but tonight you know, this friend brought me a joy-talk-comfort time without any need to let her know everything or much about my days, like im so sure God planned this meeting and produced the moment, i even know this night and conversation will have impact in what is coming next...
Im getting prepared for that and smile to the soon future :)
Private not so private.

Proclaiming, jobless no more!
For the last 2 months i´ve tried to get a job in Lima. I´ve had over 20 interviews, none of them got me any job, but don´t see it or feel so bad as it might/could be cause i really needed to get back into the Peruvian system of job hunting, so many details and little remainders of how, why or what to say and do at a job interview... I was really out of shape. Now? So far, have i improved? I think i did, specially cause now i´m truly ready to actually see myself at work again...I pray the right job will kindly let me find it next week...! Amen!

News and Olds!
Exactly 4 weeks since i wrote my last entry. What have i done in all those 4 weeks?
Let´s break it down in a list. Will try to put it fallowing some sort of chronology but the order wont affect much anyway.
* I Packed and reduced all my belongings to 42kg, leaving almost 5 years of things behind...(again)
* Flew back to Peru; changing radically from -15c to +22c
* Once at home spent like 3 days cleaning walls, closets, carpets, windows even sockets and ceilings.
* Spent almost a week in between doctor´s office getting done some tests for my mom, ultrasounds, some more tests and answers for them.
* Had a nice time meeting some of my girl friends.
* Picked Kjetil from the airport right on December 24th at night, of course nice food and nice presents that night ;) though we bought food actually.
* Prepared real Christmas meal as a present for Kjetil and some friends...and mom :) Yes i can mention there was turkey involved.
* We went to the beach for a day, had dinner at a restaurant over there and got stomach-sick for some days!
* We went again to the doctor for the final answer : Mom is out of risk, she hasnt any complicated sickness just needs laser surgery which will be rather quick and safe.
* Celebrated New years eve with friends playing video games, having nice food and chat!
* Went to see the 1st sunsent of 2011 with Kjetil, who invited me for fancy dinner right after.
* Took Kjetil to the airport and cried my eyes out all night long...Wont see him in a while...3 1/2 months this time...Praying God will help us to endure this separation.
* Finally, today my job hunting has started...It was about time ;)
In between, missing friends in Oslo, having trouble to remember that some of my stuff is not with me anymore...! learning to sneak and sort out crazy drivers here in Lima, having loads of time with mom, having strawberries and getting cheap haircuts ;)

From 30c to -15c!!!
My friend Merethe is coming home in some hours, she has been for the last 3 months in Brazil; last days she stayed in Rio where at the moment they have around 30c, So now, well she is coming to Oslo where we have had for some days -15; Shocking change for my friend!
Yes, it´ s cold here, and even more, sometimes so hard to resist or to be out for more than 15 minutes, but maybe, hope im not the only one, who enjoys to feel the freezing air when I step out of the door, of course im not all CUCKOO! I do enjoy it for 5-10 minutes max. after that i kinda would like to go back indoors!
Why do i like it? There is something with fresh air, something like you feel extremely awake, you can feel all your body freezing; that in a way makes you feel so awake and so connected with the warm parts of/in you.
When you see all white covered with snow, just then when The Blue Hour comes; you feel the air, you see around and thank God for the beauty in the midst of coldness. You feel so alive!!!...after all cold is good too, would you agree?

More wood bricks for the fireplace please!
"Early birds" my flatmate and I could be easily considered. She wakes up by 6am to be at the hospital where she works from 7am. Myself I really can be the most annoying noisy person who starts in such a great mood by 5:30 am, latest by 6:00. Days start with breakfast by 7:00 am or before, breakfast is so important for me, the meal I enjoy the most. The meal I eat the most!
Today particularly we started with the fireplace very early, we had -14 in the morning because of this the whole place was freezing cold; Can you believe? Bricks and more bricks. I´ve been taking care of the fireplace for over 6 hrs now; while I´m packing, and selecting what will be coming with me to Peru. ...PACKING, for 1000 time packing! packing in between weeks, packing for some weeks, packing for the season, packing for the storage, packing the remaining, packing for some years. The word in deed is packing.
I want some time off from that word! I wish I´m brave enough to Dont-Pack, just leave everything. Show up in the airport just with the neccesary my laptop, my toothbrush, my Burberry perfume, my make up bag and my Lewis Carroll Collection. Even the necessary sounds a lot, so i see, i better pack
ALL the other things too!!! ;)

5 years ride, soon ending!
Since Monday afternoon, I´ve been putting myself, ideas, feelings and thoughts through a cleansing process.
Too many small thoughts, that when you put them together they become a quite some heavy load.
I´m soon going back, moving back to Peru, I cant say when I´m coming back to Norway, might be 6 months might be more, but i have peace and joy to carry on there, i know it will be the right place and time.
For what I´m about to leave i know i will miss it, like the streets, the faces, the language, the smells, brown cheese, wild berries on summer time and snow the rest of the year!
But the most important things will be coming with me wherever i go, like a Norwegian flag made of little pieces from the precious friends i have been blessed with. Friends that i´ve seen them grow, mature, go away and come back home, friends who are teachers, some nurses, some were my sister, others were my mom, and others were the joy i needed in times of hardship! Some were wise advisers, others wise sharing, some were protection and showed me bus and tram stops, others paid for me a light Coke or a cookie and took a ride on a shopping cart, a ride to Denmark, a ride to Løften, a ride to Germany, a ride to Bigdøy! And others gave me the great advice to visit Jesus Church; my church-home since August 2005.
Thank you Norway, You are a Unique and Special country. God bless Norge!
Adios, so long; Good Bye!

Not much fun today?
Went to bed really late yesterday, really late? 3am...really late,uh?
Woke up by 7 am to have some breakfast, yeah my stomach wakes up before me always, no matter what i will be having breakfast by 7am, even if i go to sleep by 5 am, is the way it is.
After breakfast thought i would just clean up some of the remaining mess from the pseudo party i had, party that became supper gathering with 10 of my friends who enjoyed the best of my cooking; What was it? Tomato soup with sliced bread and cheese!
Everybody was happy, nothing better that hot soup after u´ve been outside with -8c degrees on your way here!
Brave friends the ones who come to your party when is -8c outside.
Kjetil was also a bit tired in the morning, he couldn´t sleep late as he wanted, he had to be at a conference from 9am til 4pm. So we thought we could do something fun later on the day; and here it comes the main reflection about today. We ended up watching the pursuit of happiness, eating pop corn (he) and cottage cheese (me), reading A magazine to practice my Norwegian and talking about family memories.
And believe me, it was all the fun i was looking for and i wanted to have.
I´m happy to say, simple is the best, keep it simple, keep it real.
Hope you had a -fun- Saturday, i bet you did!

Oh Baby, baby...
Baby news, Baby days!
My lovely sister will be mom, her baby will be the first baby in the family after 29 years.
Myself i haven´t experience anything like having any baby sibling, so im very excited to be aunt at last, Its Amazing!
I wish im there with my sister, she lives in Orlando and Im soon traveling to Lima, I wish we could share more time together, specially these days that she has been feeling all the pregnancy sickness. Not sure how can i help her to relive any symptom but at least i could be there and not away!!!
Besides that all this week I have been babysitting all day little happy boy name Peter, he is 5 months old, the cutest charming boy, shining and always easy going! Not much work to take care of him. Just one thing not so easy, to come and go with the stroller outside when is -5 like today, not nice at all...!Shame on you Cold weather!!!
Things i´ve been meditating since baby days around me.
I have to make a good research to be ready when the time comes to buy a baby stroller .
Draw and think about the baby room i would like to have one day for my baby.
Remember later in life that babies don´t need to be lifted every time they cry...

I can believe how time is passing so fast,I know i always say the same, but im always amazed by that.
Myself i plan to get a job and maybe get some English test to get a certificate to teach whilst im in Lima.
For me here in Oslo; well i found a typing job, for a writer friend of a friend but i finished some days ago, it was good as long it lasted :)
Other than that not much happening, Im not even social the last weeks...:( just at church and meeting some times friends from the fellowship.
Actually all my mind has been most all the time into thinking where i was staying the next day, i tried to find more jobs to find a room and pay some rent, but with my tourst visa cant work much.
So most of the time i´ve been here and there sleeping in friends sofas or if lucky a bed til 2 weeks ago that Merethe who is in Brazil borrowed me her room, It was a blessing!!!
Then with more brain to think I applied to one school, not the hairdresser school cuz it was much expensive, couldnt afford it now, instead i applied to continue with theology studies, they, the school people took some weeks to answer, last week they did, they accepted me, but just last friday i went to UDI, the office for inmigrants here, i asked if i could apply for student visa while im here as a tourist, they said that in my case since im not from the eu countries im not allowed to. So...
I wont be able to continue with studies for now,the only way is to go home to Peru and apply from there for the visa permit, but that process in always takes time, wont be able to start studying here in january as i thought.
My Visa expires this 13th Dec. i already have my flight ticket, now im just enjoying the days left here; Iim practically starting packing in some days :)
